Non-Governmental Organisation Gomant Samvardhan Sanstha in collaboration with Yuva de Goa will organise a vehicle rally from the residence of late Dr Juliao Menezes at Assolna on June 18 in memory of late Late Ram Manohar Lohia and Dr Menezes.
The rally will highlight the contributions made by Dr Lohia along with Dr Menezes and the village of Assolna to the freedom struggle of Goa.
Sanstha President Adv Narendra Sawaikar said the rally will take off from the house of Dr Menezes at Assolna at 2.30 pm on June 18 after garlanding the portraits of both the freedom fighters. The rally will address the public on the way through gate meetings before culminating in a public meeting at the historic Lohia Maidan, Margao.
Saying that the rally is open for all, Sawaikar requested all citizens, especially the youth to participate in the rally in large numbers and pay tribute to these revolutionary leaders.
