MAPUSA: Six panchas of Village Panchayat Socorro on Thursday moved a No Confidence Motion against Sarpanch Anil Pednekar.

In a letter to Block Development Officer, Bardez, the six members stated that the sarpanch has failed to take other panchas into confidence in development of the Village and other activities. Also that the sarpanch has failed in taking action against illegal constructions, land grabbing and illegal encroachments which are mushrooming even after bringing the issue to his notice.
Panchas said that the sarpanch failed in discharging his duties as per the Panchayat Act. The proposal is signed by Panchas Sandeep Manjrekar, Maya Keni, Reshma Morajkar, Sanjay Pednekar, Ditosa Lobo and Rovlu Parsekar.
