VASCO: Antonio Gomes, 54, a resident of Xeldem, Quepem was killed after he was hit by a speeding train at Shantinagar, Vasco on Sunday.

The incident came to light after locals saw the body lying in a pool of blood along the railway tracks. They immediately informed the Vasco police, who rushed to the spot and conducted the panchanama.
The Vasco police later sent the body to the hospital for post-mortem examination.
It was not known why the Xeldem resident Gomes had come to Vasco. There were reports that the victim had a low memory after he had undergone a head surgery a few years ago.
The Vasco Railway police are conducting investigations into the death of 54-year-old Gomes.
