PORVORIM: ‘ALIVE’, a painting exhibition of Yash A Sawant (16) will be organised at Kala Academy (art gallery) from April 25 to 27.
Briefing press persons at Mapusa, Institute of Menezes Bragnaza Chairperson Sanjay Harmalker stated that Yash has made portraits of famous personalities like Nelson Mandela, Amitabh Bachchan, etc.
“The exhibition will be inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza on April 25 at 10 am,” informed Harmalker.
Sawant stated that he has participated in several competitions and so far won 30 prizes. He likes to make portraits and about 50% of his paintings are portraits, 20% are monuments and the rest are sceneries and landscapes.
