Mapusa Police Inspector Tushar Lotliakar said a second summons has been issued asking them to appear before the investigation officer on Wednesday morning.
“If both accused fail to appear before the police on Wednesday then there is no option but to arrest them for evading investigation,” PI Lotlikar said.
Mapusa Police have booked the panch and the former panch of a Bardez panchayat for sexually harassing and molesting a lady staffer working at the Panchayat ghar.
The victim in her complaint had said that the duo regularly sent her messages on her cell phone and demanded sexual favors from her. On July 8 the accused, angry that she had complained to the panchayat secretary had come to the panchayat ghar and abused her in front of the secretary and two other lady workers, the complaint has stated.
Both the accused have been booked under section 451,504, 506, 509 & 354-A read with 34 of Indian Penal Code.
