Quellosim gram sabha adopts resolution to upgrade PHC to 2-bedded hospital

VASCO: The Quellosim gram sabha unanimously resolved to request the medical officer to follow up the matter of upgradation of Primary health centre with authorities concerned and to pay the balance compensation to the land owner at the earliest. 
It was discussed that the proposal to upgrade the existing  primary health centre to 20-bedded hospital was put up. However, it was given to understand that the land owner is ready to allot more land for upgradation, but the compensation to the owner is not fully paid.  The gram sabha unanimously adopted a resolution requesting medical officer of Quellosim Primary health centre to do follow up on upgradation of Primary health centre to 20 beded hospital with the authorities.  
Another issue was of providing of tap water  to some houses which are still deprived of it. Gram sabha took unanimous resolution to provide tap water  to at least seven houses in ward number one.  Till date due the height issue, the tap water could not be provided. It was decided in the meeting that the proposal should be rooted through the BDO to suggest the means by which the water to these houses can be provided. It was also resolved that a temporary public tap should be provided to the place upto the height where tap water can be reached till  the time the water is made available to these houses.   
The gram sabha unanimously resolved and demanded that the panchayat should write a letter to Member secretary of Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority asking them why the mud is not removed from the khazan land ,CRZ-I area which is illegally dumped.
