MARGAO: The Maina-Curtorim police late Monday night arrested Roy Fernandes, a resident of Curtorim, in connection with the death of young Sabina Hilario.
Margao Sub-Divisional Police Officer, DySP Shamba Sawant told newsmen at around 10.45 pm that the police has arrested Roy under Section 304(A) of the IPC for negligence upon receipt of a complaint from Sabina’s mother Caitana. “The police has acted upon the mother’s complaint on two counts. Firstly, Roy had failed to give Sabina immediate medical attention after she complained of vomiting since morning and secondly, he failed to inform her family members about her condition and the incident”, DySP Sawant told newsmen.
