MARGAO: Water Resources Minister Dayanand Mandrekar has said that works to the tune of Rs 15 crore are presently underway in the various villages in Velim constituency.
On Thursday Mandrekar had laid the foundation stones for the construction of a protective wall at Deussua and protection measure to the house at Grande Durga, both in Chinchinim village, besides construction of sluice gates at Banda-Assolna and at the Cutbona fishing jetty at a cost of Rs 2 crore. He said further that works to the tune of Rs 15 crore are either underway in Velim constituency or are in the pipeline.
