Bicholim: The Shirgao panchayat sarpanch in Bicholim has urged the police to seal the borders of the village there by not allowing outsiders to enter the village in view of zatra.
Through a letter the Shirgao Sarpanch Bhagwant B. Gaonkar has requested the Bicholim police to seal the borders of Shirgao village from April 24 to April 28 since the devasthan has decided to close the Shree Lairai temple and allied temples during the Zatra of Goddess Lairai to be held on April 28.
The Devasthan has also decided not to permit outsiders without valid passes from the government authorities to enter the village.
The borders to be sealed includes Manaswada Mulgao to Shirgao, Shirgao bridge to Shirgao, Brahman devasthan Poira to Shirgao, Siddhivinayak temple Poira to Shirgao and railway bridge Poira to Shirgao.
