SOUTH GOA SP ORDERS INQUIRY INTO ALLEGED CHAIR DIVERSION AT COLVA POLICE STATION

South Goa SP has assured an inquiry into allegations of irregularities at the Colva Police Station. The allegations claim that only two of the 10 chairs ordered for the station were delivered, while the remaining eight were allegedly converted into a sofa for personal use. The SP said the matter would be examined. He also assured that reports of police personnel who were transferred but allegedly continue to work at police stations in Margao would be verified. The assurances came amid questions over the alleged diversion of official resources and personnel postings.
