MAPUSA: Drishti lifeguards, on Saturday, rescued three tourists hailing from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu at different beaches.
Drishti lifeguards Bhagavan Parab and Deepak Gadekar rescued a male, 23-year-old, from Gujarat at Vagator Beach when he got pulled inward by a rip current.
In the second incident at Morjim Beach, a 23-year-old male hailing from Maharashtra had ventured into the sea but appeared to be in distress.
He was rescued by Drishti’s Aman Salgaonkar.
A Tamil Nadu person, 24-year-old, was rescued at Candolim Beach by Drishti lifeguard Vivek Gaonkar.
Meanwhile, a 45-year-old tourist from Telangana, who ventured into the water with his friends, twisted his leg at Candolim Beach. He was initially administered first aid by Drishti lifeguard Vijay Vadar. The victim was later shifted to the hospital for further treatment.
