MARGAO: A goods pick-up mysteriously caught fire this afternoon near Kadamba Bus Stand at Margao causing a loss of around Rs 40,000 to the owner.
The pick-up was parked at the pickup stand near the KTC bus stand at Margao when it suddenly caught fire at around 3.15 pm. According to eye witnesses, there was some smoke coming from the battery first before the fire started.
Fire services were called to douse the fire and according to them the fire was caused due to a short circuit of the battery and they estimated the loss to be around Rs 40,000.
