MARGAO: Two persons have been booked by the Fatorda Police for allegedly organising bullfight in an open field in Fatorda.
An offence has been registered under Sections 336, 429 r/w 34 1PC and u/sec 11 (m) (n) of Prevention of Cruelty of Animals Act against Joao Paulo Araujo, a resident of Dongar wado in Fatorda and Charlie Agnelo Monthe Fernandes, a resident of Adaowado Majorda for organising the bullfight.
The fight was reportedly held between 6 am and 7 am at an open field near Bandh in Fatorda. Though bullfight is a banned in Goa, enthusiasts occasionally organise the bullfights to entertain the locals.
and earn money by way of bets.
