MARGAO: Varca village gram sabha held on Sunday, Apr 21 failed to approve the budget with members given further time of eight days to raise objection or suggest changes in proposed budget.
On the occasion the panchayat secretary presented the annual approved audit report of the panchayat to gram sabha.
Sarpanch Luiza Pereira e Rodrigues informed that the panchayat shall take up the work of desilting storm water drains before the onset of monsoon. A resolution was also taken to construct a panchayat hall at estimated cost of Rs 23 lakh which shall include Rs 10 lakh given to the panchayats and Golden Jubilee grants.
