CALANGUTE: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, on Wednesday, admitted that the vision of Goa’s first opposition leader, late Dr Jack Sequeira, who had fought for a separate identity for Goa, had been lost and felt that all Goans are responsible for this.
“The Goa of today is, perhaps, not what Sequeira had dreamt of and we are together accountable for this,” said Parrikar, while addressing a function at the Dr Jack Sequeira statue to mark the 46th anniversary of Opinion Poll, the first and only referendum to be held in India .

“Late Jack Sequeira had a vision for Goa, while fighting for a separate identity for Goa, which, ironically, has been lost today,” added Parrikar, as he led various leaders in paying rich tributes to the leader, popularly known as the Father of the Opinion Poll.
