Zuari Bridge closed for 3 hours today

Vasco Traffic Cell says Captain of Ports (CoP) has made special ferry service arrangement for the two-wheelers and pedestrians from Agassaim to Cortalim and vice versa

VASCO: Zuari Bridge will remain closed on Sunday from 6 am to 9 am due to deck level inspection by the PWD authorities. 
A source in the Vasco Traffic Cell informed that special ferry service arrangement has been made by the Captain of Ports for the two-wheelers and pedestrians to cross over from Agassaim to Cortalim and vice versa.
A message, which went viral on social media on Saturday afternoon with regards to Zuari Bridge closure on Sunday created anxiety among the people as on Sunday most number of vehicles commuted along the bridge.
The source informed that the Zuari Bridge would be closed from 6 am to 9 am when there is no much traffic movement. They informed that bridge would be closed due to the deck level checking by the PWD authorities. The deck level checking is done within three and six months.
The source further informed that they have received a message from the Captain of Ports that there would be a special ferry service wherein only two-wheelers and pedestrians would be allowed. Four-wheelers and heavy vehicles would be diverted via Borim Bridge on NH-17B and vice versa.
