VASCO: A 36-year-old man from Chembur-Mumbai is reported to have committed suicide near the railway over-bridge at Bela-Bai in Vasco.
Vasco Police received a call in the early hours of Monday stating that a body was seen hanging near the railway over-bridge and police found an identity card, indicating the details of the deceased.
Police said they had also recovered a suicide note from the pocket of the deceased, informing his sister that he could not do anything much to her. The note had also requested the police to intimate his sister of his death.
The police got in touch with the sister of the deceased and after an autopsy, handed over the body to his family for final rites. Vasco PSI Nikhil Palekar is investigating the case.
