‘Parjatachim Parmalint Fulam’ a CD presented by Arya Durga Sangeet Varg, Curchorem, comprising various children’s Konkani songs, was released at the hands of Minister for Art and Culture Dayanand Mandrekar on April 25 during a special function at Ravindra Bhavan, Curchorem.
The function was organised by Kala Satkarma Samiti, Arya Durga Sangeet Varg, Naddbrahm Academi, Curchorem in association with Art and Culture Department, Panjim.
The CD compiles Konkani songs sung by budding child singers Vibhuti Dessai, Saini Dessai, Yuti Sanvordekar, Sanskruti Kare, Gauri Naik, Pratham Borkar, Varad Naik and Sharvani Nadkarni, accompanied by the the melodious music of Ashwini Zambaulikar.
On the occasion, vocalist and well known music teacher Ashwini Shashikant Zambaulikar was felicitated with the Jeevan Gaurav Sanman award at the hands of the Chief Guest in the presence of Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral, Sanguem MLA Subash Phal Dessai, Sanvordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar, Balkrishna Hodarkar and Dr Bhicaji Ghanekar.
The event also included an entertainment programme, ‘Kilbil Kilbil’, that had the little champs from Sanguem-Quepem talukas singing Hindi, Marathi and Konkani songs.
