Income Declaration Scheme – a failure?

The Income Declaration Scheme (IDS) which was announced in the Union budget of 2016 - 2017 is reported to have generated disclosures of hitherto undisclosed incomes aggregating INR 65,250 crores from about 64,000 persons.
