MARGAO: Aam Admi Party (AAP) on Friday has filed a fresh complaint against Savio and Warren Alemao, as one of the volunteers of AAP, Neri Fernandes reported hand fractures and got admitted in the hospital.
In a fresh complaint, AAP has demanded to register FIR against the kin of MLAs and initiate action as per the law.
It may be noted that Neri Fernandes, AAP volunteer was present at the press briefing held on Thursday afternoon at Benaulim. However, in the evening, he got admitted to the Hospicio hospital under the request of doctors.
Reportedly there was a clash between AAP volunteers and NCP Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao’s family members in the late-night of Wednesday, resulting in tensions in Benaulim. AAP has alleged that Savio and Warren had assaulted their volunteers when they were trying to put up banners.
AAPs leader Venzy Viegas said that they have filed a fresh complaint before the Colva police stations urging to register FIR against the culprits, as one of their volunteers reported hand fractures, and presently taking treatment in the hospital.
“Actually, police should have registered an FIR against the culprits after receiving the report from the hospital. But it seems that the law and order are being compromised,” he said.
Meanwhile, Nilesh Prabhudesai, Deputy Sarpanch of Benaulim village panchayat, said that panchayat has intimated the Colva police that they had not given any permission for anyone to put up the banners in Benaulim.
