MARGAO: A public meeting was held by Aam Aadmi Party Goa at Davorlim football grounds on Friday.
Adarsh Shastri, the grandson of Lalbahadur Shastri ex-prime minister of India and Delhi MLA, was the chief guest.
The meeting was also attended by AAP candidate for Navelim Constituency Siddharth Karapurkar, campaign manager Madhusudan Rao, South Goa coordinator Dr Damodharan, Navelim constituency coordinator Melwin Pereira and village coordinator Mohamad.
Adarsh Shastri said that for the last 40 years politicians have thought about their own benefits rather than that of the people. “Being a grandson of Lalbahadur Shastri, I had sacrificed my job for the nation and joined AAP along with Arvind Kejriwal,” Adarsh said.
He claimed that casinos have destroyed tourism and the wrong polices of the government have destroyed the culture and social fabric.
