PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Girish Chodankar on Friday said that senior party leaders P Chidambaram and Dinesh Rao will take decision on pre-poll alliance for the ensuing Goa Assembly polls.
Speaking to the reporters at Congress House, Chodankar said, “The mandate to decide on pre-poll alliance with political parties for the upcoming Assembly elections is given to our senior leaders former Union Minister P Chidambaram and AICC in-charge of Goa desk Dinesh Rao. They will take all party office-bearers, leaders and block committee members into confidence before deciding on pre-poll alliance at appropriate time. Both the leaders have started their deliberations.”
Chidambaram is visiting Goa on October 9. During his four-day visit, he will tour most of the Block Congress committees to know their views of Congress party’s prospects for the 2022 Goa Assembly elections.
