PANJIM: Directorate of Art and Culture will honour 20 eminent personalities, 2 cultural institutions, 13 young artists in the field of Art and Culture on January 26, at 3 pm at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Kala Academy, Panjim. Awards namely ‘Goa State Cultural Award’, ‘Yuva Srujan Puraskar’ and ‘Library Award’ will be presented to the awardees for their contribution and achievements in their respective art forms such as music, drama/tiatr, folk art, bhajan, kirtan, craft, literature, painting etc. Dr Premanand S Ramani, a renowned Goan personality in the field of medicine and Gomant Vibhushan Awardee, will be the chief guest. Minister for Art and Culture Govind Gaude will preside over function and Secretary for Art and Culture Chokha Ram Garg will be the guest of honour.
