New Delhi: Civil Defence mock drills were carried out across 13 districts of the national capital on Thursday as part of a comprehensive effort to enhance preparedness for disasters and war-like emergencies, officials confirmed.
The exercises were conducted at multiple locations, including shopping malls in North and Old Delhi, hospitals, schools, and District Disaster Management offices. According to a statement issued by the Directorate of Civil Defence, the drills highlighted the government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening emergency response systems.

In the high-security New Delhi district, which is frequently visited by VIPs and foreign nationals, mock drills took place at the Taj Palace Hotel on Sardar Patel Marg and at the Cantonment General Hospital in Delhi Cantonment.
Officials stated that the primary objective of these drills was to improve coordination among various agencies, raise public awareness, and enhance the capacity of local authorities to respond quickly and effectively in the event of hostile situations or natural disasters.
