PANJIM: A ferryboat employee has been arrested by Old Goa police for allegedly harassing a 14-year-old girl and attempting to outrage her modesty.
As per the complaint filed by the girl’s mother, the accused identified as Sudesh Tari, who is the employee of the ferryboat, followed the victim, asked her to share her mobile, tried to hold her hand and kiss her while travelling on the ferry.
Again after reaching the ferry boat at Gaundalim ferry ramp, when the victim was returning back home, the accused stalked her and again started pestering her to share her mobile number.
An offence has been registered under section 74 and 78 of BNS 2023 and Section 8 of Goa Children Act and the case is being investigated by PSI Anish Naik of Old Goa Police.
