MARGAO: Officials of the South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) on Monday inspected the premises owned by Margao Municipal Chairperson Gonzaco Rebello following complaint by a local resident that the structures were illegal.
After inspecting the two structures, the team said the report will be submitted to the PDA Member Secretary Vinod Kumar for further action.
A local resident Savio Dias had lodged a complaint with the SGPDA and the MMC alleging that one of the structures owned by the MMC Chairperson was located in a set back area, while the rear of the structure was in an area marked for parking.
Dias had moved the MMC for the disqualification of Gonzaco in view of the alleged illegal constructions.
