The Mapusa Additional Sessions Court has granted anticipatory bail to Gauresh Rajaram Gawas, an Upper Division Clerk (UDC) in the Excise Department, in connection with the alleged Birch Health NOC forgery case being investigated by the Mapusa Police.
During the hearing, the prosecution informed the court that Gawas had fully cooperated with the ongoing investigation. The State further clarified that it did not consider him a perpetrator in the case, but rather a “material prosecution witness” against the accused Luthra brothers and Ajay Gupta.

Although the police had opposed the anticipatory bail plea, the prosecution’s submission highlighted Gawas’ cooperation and his role in assisting the investigation.
The case pertains to the alleged forgery of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) linked to Birch Health, which is currently under investigation by the Mapusa Police. The court, after considering the submissions made by both sides, granted anticipatory bail to Gawas.
