PANJIM: National Students Union of India (NSUI), Goa unit has assured online budgeting of colleges in its manifesto for the upcoming Goa University Election.
NSUI State President Ahraz Mulla released the manifesto in presence of NSUI General Secretary Maruf Shaikh. The University Council Representative elections are scheduled for July 30, wherein colleges affiliated to Goa University will elect representatives.
Addressing the media, Mulla said, “We want transparency in distribution of funds.”
He also assured a Vidharti Panchayat. “Every month we will conduct a meeting with the vice chancellor of Goa University along with the representatives and the GS of each college. This meeting will give an opportunity for students to discuss their grievances with the vice chancellor directly,” he added.
He sought the resumption of government schemes such as Cyberage scheme and Rs 2 lakh for every elected Students’ Council. Besides, NSUI has also assured free wifi zone in all college campuses.
