Pandurang Madkaikar’s Bribery Allegation Sparks Call for CBI Investigation

GPCC Vice President Sunil Kawthankar has sent a letter to the Governor of Goa, urging for a CBI investigation into the claims made by former Minister and BJP leader Pandurang Madkaikar.

He expresses his desire to highlight the recent startling claim made by former Minister and BJP leader, Shri Pandurang Madkaikar, who has openly stated that he was compelled to pay a bribe of 20 lakh to a Minister in order to have his work completed.

This serious allegation brings to light significant worries about corruption within the upper echelons of government and calls for an urgent, unbiased, and comprehensive inquiry. Sunil is urging the governor to instruct the State Government to launch an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in accordance with the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and the pertinent sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. He believes that a fair and independent investigation by the CBI will uncover the truth, hold those responsible accountable, and help restore public trust in the state’s governance.
