Pollution Board reconstituted

PANJIM: The State Government has finally reconstituted the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) with Ganesh Shetgaonkar as its new chairman. The Board is reconstituted almost year and half after the existing Board term had lapsed in July 2016.

PANJIM: The State Government has finally reconstituted the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) with Ganesh Shetgaonkar as its new chairman. The Board is reconstituted almost year and half after the existing Board term had lapsed in July 2016. 
Also the post of chairman was vacant since March 2016 after former chairman Jose Manual Noronha was transferred as chairman of the Goa Public Service Commission.  
In an order issued by Director of Environment Parag Nagarcenkar, a 16-member Board has been reconstituted for a period of three years. Ganesh Budhu Shetgaonkar, 53, a resident of Mumbai is the new chairman, while incumbent Member Secretary Levinson Martins will continue to hold the post until further notification.
