PANJIM: The Shigmo parade wound its way around the city Saturday evening, accompanied by the sounds of the dhol and the ghumot.
The parade began with the Ghode Modni followed by the Romtamel comprising of whirling dancers with their colourful clothes and headgear.
The grand tableaux depicting aspects of Hindu mythology and legends followed along the 18th June Road and wound their way to the Azad Maidan.
Many of the spectators too were seen dressed as mythological figures. The spectators were patiently lined along the float parade route.
