PANJIM: The Supreme Court on Tuesday will hear Crime Branch’s application seeking cancellation of anticipatory bail to ex-CM Digambar Kamat in the Louis Berger bribery case.
Crime Branch’s special leave petition has challenged the High Court’s order granting Kamat anticipatory bail.
Supreme Court ’s division bench, comprising Justices Jasti Chelameswar and Abhay Manhar Sapre, will also hear arguments to its notice issued to the Margao MLA on November 7.
Kapil Sibal may represent Kamat in the case.
The special leave petition points out that the High Court and the special court ignored material evidence produced by Crime Branch against Kamat while granting him pre-arrest bail.
