Goa’s domestic air connectivity received a fur ther boost with the launch of Star Air’s new non-stop service between Mano har International Airport (GOX), Mopa and Mundra in Gujarat, providing an additional travel option be tween the two states. The service commenced operations on June 23 and will operate five times a week, from Tuesday to Saturday. The new route is expected to improve acces sibility for travellers while supporting tourism, busi ness travel and commercial exchanges between Goa and Gujarat. Tourism stakeholders have welcomed the de velopment, noting that enhanced air connectiv ity plays a key role in sus taining visitor arrivals and expanding Goa’s reach into emerging domestic markets. The direct link is also expected to benefit busi ness travellers and in vestors by reducing trav el time and improving convenience.
Welcoming the new service, Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said improved accessibility remains central to Goa’s tourism strategy. “The commencement of the direct Goa-Mundra service marks another positive step in enhancing Goa’s domestic air connectivity. Improved accessibility is integral to our vision of making Goa a destination that is easy to reach throughout the year,” he said.
