With just two more wins needed to reach the typical qualification mark of 16, they are almost certain to make the playoffs. Their consistent performances and balanced squad have made them one of the most reliable teams this season, with even a top-two finish well within reach.

Close behind are Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who have accumulated 12 points and boast an impressive net run rate. With five matches still to play, two more wins should comfortably seal their playoff berth. Given their current form, RCB are also strong contenders for a top-two finish, which offers a crucial advantage in the playoff structure.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are also firmly in the mix with 12 points each. SRH have bounced back strongly after a slow start and look well-placed to qualify if they secure two more victories. RR, however, face a slightly tighter situation due to having played an extra game, meaning they likely need at least three wins from their remaining fixtures to stay safe.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans (GT) remain in contention but face an uphill task. Despite having 12 points, their negative net run rate could prove costly, making convincing wins essential in their remaining matches.
The scenario becomes far more complicated for teams in the lower half. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) both sit on eight points and need at least four wins from their remaining games to reach 16. While mathematically possible, their margin for error is now minimal, and net run rate could play a decisive role.
For Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the situation is even more precarious. With just seven points, they would likely need to win all remaining matches — a highly unlikely scenario given their inconsistent form this season.
At the bottom, Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are virtually out of contention.
