Budget adds to start-up buzz

PANJIM: The new goverment led by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, realising the the stress on what Prime Minister Narendra Modi is stressing on, ensured that information technology has to be brought to the fore. In his budget speech as a finance minister too, Mr Parrikar not only proposed Rs 15 crore for this sector, but at the same time announced to set up a Start-up Promotion Board and make Goa a start-up destination. This is for the first time that Goa goverment has laid clear direction in the IT sector.
